mBANT CNHC “Let food be thy medicine and let thy medicine be food.”
“My aim is to help you take control of your health by boosting your nutritional intake. I will aid you in your quest to prevent imbalances, to sustain optimal health and to enhance the body’s ability to heal itself the way nature intended.”
As a result of working in the travel industry for twenty years and leading treks throughout all continents, I have been lucky enough to experience a wonderful array of foods, flavours and spices. The history of ancient civilizations and their eating habits also fascinated me. In some places, these ancient dietary traditions are still ingrained in their culture and follow the ancient belief of “let food be thy medicine of life”. These experiences triggered my passion to fuse eating for pleasure as well as for health.
This passion was further fuelled by ever-increasing research, showing that nutrients are a contributing factor in supporting and maintaining optimum health and wellbeing.
I have also fully experienced the negative impact of stress on the body, physically and emotionally; the cravings, the weight gain and physical and emotional tiredness. Through nutritional support, I was able to rebalance my health and energize my life. For these reasons, I decided to train as a nutritional therapist at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) in London.
My main interests are supporting the digestive system, weight and stress management as well as hormonal imbalances such as PMS and menstrual irregularities. Often, one of the first signs of compromised health is fatigue and low energy levels, which impacts our zest for life. My goal is to support every individual in reaching optimum health so they can enjoy their life to the full. To this end Naturally High was born.
I am a qualified nutritional therapist registered with CNHC [Complimentary and Natural Health Care Council] and a member of BANT [British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy].
