nutritional
Therapy
Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. Nutritional therapy practitioners use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual's symptoms and health concerns. This approach allows them to work with individuals to address nutritional balance and help support the body towards maintaining health. Nutritional therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.

Practitioners consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a 'one size fits all' approach. Practitioners never recommend nutritional therapy as a replacement for medical advice and always refer any client with 'red flag' signs or symptoms to their medical professional. They will also frequently work alongside a medical professional and will communicate with other healthcare professionals involved in the client's care to explain any nutritional therapy programme that has been provided.

MY
SERvices
With a commitment to educating and encouraging people’s ownership of their health and their approach to wellbeing, I will provide the latest advice available to me through both professional body memberships and industry research to inform my consultative approach and maintain my knowledge. Focusing on prevention through education and nutrition, I am keen to embrace and explore the different challenges resulting from the ever increasing pace of modern living and its impact on people’s eating habits. I offer the following services.

ONE-TO-ONE
I support my clients through one-to-one consultations, followed up with both telephone and email support. I work with every individual, over a period of time (3 to 6 months depending on their health concerns), guiding them through the changes, helping them keep on track with  practical everyday health and food tips! This approach enables me to further understand their lifestyles,  routines and challenges, thereby ensuring a more personalized plan.  Working together in this way provides each individual with the support they need to be accountable for their protocol, crucial for success.

METABOLIC
BALANCE
COACH
Metabolic Balance® Is an all-natural health optimising programme that is designed to encourage your metabolism to function more efficiently by regulating insulin and cortisol secretion, hormones associated with appetite. This programme is designed to promote healthy eating and long-term weight management. After analysing your blood test results, your medical history and health issues, a nutrition plan designed for you to stimulate the body into orchestrating the biochemical changes it needs to realise your desired weight and health goals.
This is what one of my lovely MB ladies said..

“Losing lbs and saving £s!
The rewards are endless and contrary to my expectations, the Metabolic Balance is so much easier than I ever expected it would be. The menu options were endless and the results were almost immediate.  Also forthcoming, very early on, were the compliments from friends and colleagues; comments on my clear skin and weight loss were constant motivators.

More importantly, my energy levels increased, my hay fever disappeared and the breast pain I had endured for the last 10 years was no more.

An additional bonus was the amount of money I saved by not buying the usual and predictable lunch items at local shops near the office.

As a real foodie, I thought the Metabolic Balance was going to be a hindrance and would stem the enjoyment I get from my lifestyle.  I was wrong – it’s enhanced it and the guiding principles which underpin it are now mine too!?”

SCHOOL
EDUCATION
I am a firm believer that education in food science plays a key role in helping all ages to understand why certain changes may be beneficial to their health. As such, my services also focus on educational talks with the aim to encourage children, parents and teachers to understand the links between nutrients and vitality

NUTRITION
WORKSHOPS

We offer workshops in both our clinic in Hampton and in private homes (on request) covering all subjects from Children’s Nutrition to the Menopause. We aim to create a relaxing atmosphere where we can obtain a greater understanding of how to support our health at different stages of our lives. They are fun, interactive and informative sessions with food, recipes and practical ideas for you to take home to support you and your family.

Here’s what some of our lovely ladies have said about our Children’s health workshop.

“I welcomed some ideas as to how to make kids meals more exciting yet nutritious”

“Exceeded expectations and I came away with a clear idea of how to change our eating habits for the better and ideas and recipes to implement this”.

“I have ordered all the ingredients to make several of the dishes. I'm making them with the kids and will be starting with the cheese scones tonight”.

“I tend to get stuck in a rut of cooking for my kids …. So I found the workshop very interesting and it made me realise that it’s not that hard to make a bit more effort to prepare healthy and interesting food for my children”.
